The Zoom call will open at 7pm, which is when you should start the movie on Kanopy to "watch along" if you haven't watched it beforehand. Participant video and audio will be disabled until the discussion portion of the event, but we encourage using the chat feature while we watch along together. At 8:15, we will facilitate a discussion portion with audio/video after the movie is. Here are some helpful tips to maximize your Zoom experience. Grid View:
Located on the upper right corner of your screen. If you’re just seeing the host and yourself, be sure to select “grid view” icon to see everyone in attendance on your screen!
Audio Setting:
Located on the lower left corner of your screen. Adjust your Audio quality there as needed. Turning off video may improve your audio quality.
Mute and Unmute:
Located on the bottom of your screen, with a microphone icon. Please keep your mic muted when you are not speaking to minimized audio interference.
Chat Function:
The icon is located at the bottom of the screen and can be used to send messages to the entire group or privately. We will be using it to answer any IT questions, and additional info will be made available there.
Affirmations:
If you resonate with something said here and you want to affirm the statement, we encourage you to either snap your fingers, do jazz hands and use the chat functions too! A transcript of the discussion will be made available after the event.
